JinJin of ASTRO is officially exempted from mandatory military service due to a medical condition.
On June 2, his agency, Fantagio, broke the news via ASTRO’s official fan café. They stated:
“JinJin has been deemed unfit for military service following a detailed physical examination by the Military Manpower Administration, due to health issues related to an autoimmune disorder.”
Fantagio clarified further:
“While he does not have difficulties with daily life, he requires regular hospital visits for checkups and ongoing management. Based on the medical opinion that such specialized group living, like military service, would be difficult, he has received an exemption.”
The agency reassured fans:
“We will continue JinJin’s activities with his health as our top priority. We sincerely thank the fans for their continued support and ask for ongoing interest in JinJin’s future endeavors.”
JinJin is the leader and main rapper of ASTRO, which debuted in February 2016. He has contributed to various tracks including the recent single “Wave in My Heart” with rapper YUNHWAY.
