BLACKPINK is facing controversy after fans at their recent concert in Goyang, South Korea expressed frustration over expensive seats that provided no view of the stage.
The concert, held on July 5 (KST) as part of the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR’, marked the group’s highly anticipated return to a full crowd. Tickets sold out in a flash, with fans worldwide eager to attend.
But the excitement took a hit for those seated in the N3 section. A massive central screen completely blocked their view, despite the seats being sold as general admission for 132,000 KRW (approximately USD 98)—not labeled as restricted view.
Fans took to social media to vent their anger.
“There’s no review to give. I couldn’t see anything. It wasn’t just limited visibility—it was zero visibility.”
— Fan comment
Another fan chimed in:
“It’s outrageous that these seats weren’t even marked as restricted view. I paid full price and couldn’t see any fireworks, drones, or the stage. Just the top of the screen, barely.”
— Another frustrated attendee
Photos circulating online show just how badly affected the N3 seats were. This outcry has led fans to call for complaints to consumer authorities and even legal action.
South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission states that if visibility issues arise due to the event’s organizers, consumers can demand a full refund and an extra 10% in compensation. The Korea Consumer Agency has ruled in favor of ticket holders in similar situations.
Adding fuel to the fire, restricted view seats were sold for 99,000 KRW (about USD 73). Fans feel cheated since the blocked N3 seats were pricier yet had no visibility.
The situation is gaining traction online, with fans demanding accountability from the organizers.
This incident continues to unfold as fans await a response from the concert organizers.
