(G)I-DLE‘s Soyeon is teaming up with K-pop hitmaker R.Tee for a major new project.
R.Tee, known for producing BLACKPINK’s “Playing With Fire,” “Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That,” as well as BIGBANG’s “Fxxk It” and Jeon Somi’s “Fast Forward,” just launched his new independent label, RSTS Label.
The first release under RSTS Label features Soyeon on a track called “Damdadi.” It’s a pop-house remake of a 1980s song, mixing funk grooves, hip-hop beats, and Soyeon’s signature rap style.
R.Tee said:
“The intent with this song was to preserve the original’s playfulness while creating a sound that will resonate with the current generation of listeners.”
A playful office-themed music video with Soyeon is part of the rollout.
The song and video drop on August 10 at 6 PM KST.
Fans are already buzzing about this new collab marking R.Tee’s debut as a singer and the official launch of RSTS Label.
