Boy Group Makes Comeback With First Album in Seven Years Following Disbandment Announcement

Boy Group Returns With First Album In 7 Years After Disbandment Was Announced By Company

MYNAME breaks seven-year silence with fresh comeback after contract confusion

Boy group MYNAME is back with new music seven years after their last release.

The 2011 debut group originally created under H2 Media by Fly to the Sky’s Hwanhee gained popularity especially in Japan. They were active there throughout their early years.

In December 2019, H2 Media announced MYNAME had disbanded after contract expirations. This stirred confusion when member Seyong later stated the group had not disbanded and was still active with Japanese promotions.

Since then, group activities slowed as members fulfilled military duties. Their last music before the break was the 2018 Japanese full album Kiseki.

On July 2, MYNAME dropped a mini album featuring the title track “Bad Bad Higher.” The comeback includes members Gunwoo, Insoo, and Seyong. The other two members remain listed but did not participate.

Fans are hyped to see their return with brand new music after a long hiatus.

Seyong previously clarified the group’s status:

"We still were completing activities in Japan."

The group’s comeback video is already out and gaining traction.

Congrats to MYNAME on reigniting their career with this fresh release!
