‘Bring Seungri Back’ Signs at G-Dragon Concert Ignite Controversy

"Bring Seungri Back" Signs At G-Dragon's Concert Spark Outrage

G-Dragon is facing controversy after some fans at his recent Ubermensch concert in Hong Kong held signs saying “bring Seungri back.”

The signs were seen multiple times throughout the show. Fans claim G-Dragon noticed them and tried to look away, clearly uncomfortable. This sparked backlash from VIPs, who called the behavior disrespectful to G-Dragon and insensitive given Seungri’s past.

Seungri left BIGBANG and retired from entertainment in 2019 after the “Burning Sun” scandal. His name is widely considered a sore subject among fans and the group.

Fans took to social media to slam those holding the signs, calling it a “lack of respect” and urging security and event organizers to prevent similar incidents going forward.

“We really weren’t going to say anything, but it’s pissing us off. Several times throughout the videos you can see him trying to look away from the signs and compose himself.
Please, do not mention former members who have no connection to him anymore, or even try to associate…” — ü (@gdpdates)

“Have you gone crazy????
The sign in Korean: bring Seungri back (even the grammar is incorrect)
If they’re from Hong Kong, I’m going to scold them like crazy.” — Fan via Threads

“To the ppl who thought it was funny or clever to bring up Seungri, a convicted sex offender, at GD’s concert: you’re vile. That wasn’t bold, it was pure cruelty. U didn’t jst disrespect GD, U disrespected the pain, struggle, & healing it took for him to stand on that stage again.” — sin (@kjyvsn)

“The worst thing you could do to bigbang is to ask them to bring back seungri or mention anything related to that scum. Have you forgotten what he alone has done to the group? even a lot of ‘vips’ left the fandom when the bs scandal happened. you only care for seungri not bigbang.” — aeshü⁴ (@palomi88)

“Guys, pls let’s sent message to security team and GALAXY. This is intolerable and not the first time. GD clearly saw it in today’s video, the first pic means take Seungri back. Shame on you. Pls repost let more people see.” — CANT HELP FALLING IN LOVE (@AmffszyS)

Calls to action have spread online, demanding stronger measures at G-Dragon’s future concerts. The controversy is still unfolding as fans monitor the situation closely.
