BTS’s RM Sparks Buzz Over Religious Quotes in New Interview
BTS’s RM is stirring controversy after sharing phrases with religious undertones in a recent interview.
In a Harper’s BAZAAR Korea YouTube interview ahead of their September 2025 issue, RM revealed two sayings that stick with him:
“Everything happens for a reason.”
“God always give us challenges according to our capacity.”
The second phrase especially caught attention since it echoes a Biblical passage from 1 Corinthians 10:13 and similar quotes in Islam.
RM, who once identified as atheist during his first mixtape promotion, surprised many fans. Some wonder if his beliefs have shifted since then.
Reactions on social media ranged from amused to supportive to skeptical.
