BTS’s Jin shuts down shady edit comparing members’ endorsements
Jin is making waves after responding to an edit seen as shading the other BTS members over their endorsement deals.
Since his military discharge, Jin has landed multiple sponsorships, most recently becoming the face of Dongwon Tuna canned tuna. Fans posted a list of his achievements on Weverse, followed by an edit showing all BTS members’ brand deals. The second post sparked controversy as such images often fuel comparisons and shade idols.
Jin stepped in to clear things up. He emphasized that the number of deals each member takes on is a personal choice.
Ah.. I just did a lot of them, but the others have dozens or even hundreds of ad offers too.
They’re just choosing not to do them.
Because I’ve turned down more than dozens myself…
I think I won’t be taking on more (though if something I really like suddenly comes up, I might change my mind).

His remarks quickly gained traction. Netizens praised Jin for standing up to passive-aggressive comparisons and promoting his members’ freedom in choosing endorsements.
Fans flooded Twitter with support, quoting Jin’s message to “stop comparing us” and applauding his quick awareness.
“jin saw someone lowkey shading jungkook and shut that down so fast lmfaooo”
— @voiceofjeon“Seokjin: We are ALL awesome and in demand… I love how he’s not giving any chance for others to discredit the other members.”

Jin continues to protect BTS’s unity by making clear any assumptions of rivalry over deals are baseless. The ARMY is loving the honesty and camaraderie.
