Controversial Interviewer's Message To BLACKPINK's Jennie After Receiving Death Threats And Hate Gains Attention

BLACKPINK’s Jennie sparks outrage after Billboard interview video goes viral and is deleted

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is facing backlash after a now-deleted Billboard interview caused major outrage among fans. The video showed netizens describing Jennie’s viral performance as “lazy,” with comments like:

“She was always like that for years, maybe just her face, her emotions, her attitude.”

Fans quickly condemned the content, demanding an apology from Billboard despite the video’s removal.

“VIDEO DELETED. Thank you to everyone who helped us to trends @billboard now you better apologize for the damage you caused. Next time, think about the consequences before using BLACKPINK and pinks for clout.”

The controversy extended to the interviewer, influencer Leah La Rosa, who many fans say disrespected not just Jennie but also Lisa. Social media stormed with calls for apologies to both Jennie and Lisa. Leah La Rosa reportedly went private on Instagram and deleted comments amid the backlash.

“Using haters’ videos in your report to misrepresent her actions is unprofessional and contradicts Billboard’s journalistic standards and decades-long legacy. Apologize to Jennie!”

Leah La Rosa later addressed the backlash directly, tagging Jennie and saying:

“@JENNIE can you pick me up? I’m scared. (For the trolls- I don’t work at Billboard. I was hired as talent for the day to interview people about viral social media music moments. I didn’t know who BLACKPINK was… I didn’t edit the package or control what interviews/clips/soundbites were used… The edit does not represent my views or opinions. I was just doing the job that was assigned to me for the day.”

She also begged fans to stop sending threats to her and her family, calling the situation “SO unserious settle down” and sending love to Jennie.

Fans remain unsatisfied with her explanation, accusing her of ignorance toward BLACKPINK’s fandom and lore.

Leah further implied she was set up by Billboard and wasn’t ready for the intense fandom reaction, tweeting:

“Wish Someone Warned Me How Psycho The Fandom Is”

The backlash against Billboard and Leah La Rosa is ongoing as fans continue to demand formal apologies and accountability for the viral video.
