DAY6 Supporters Barred From Their Own Fan Concert, Authorities Step In

DAY6 Fans Get Banned From Their Own "Fan Concert," Police Involved

DAY6 fan concert shitshow: fans denied entry over ID check chaos

DAY6 is facing backlash after multiple fans were denied entry at their recent fan concert due to strict ID check enforcement. A viral tweet from @oing12044 revealed that despite attending four previous DAY6 concerts with no ID checks, this fan was suddenly stopped by staff demanding official ID.

The fan tried showing a student ID, but staff rejected it as insufficient. Even a photo of a passport wasn’t accepted.

@oing12044:
“데이식스 팬콘..데식 콘서트 4번 갔다왔는데 한번도 본인확인 한번도 한적 없어서 걍 확인도 안하고 감 근데 갑자기 팬콘인데 한다길래 당황함..그래서 학생증 보여줬는데 학생증은 또 안된다는 거림 아빠핟테 여권 좀 찍어보내달래ㅆ는데 그건 또 사진어서 안된대..”

The fan ended up heading to a police station, where officers kindly offered to help verify their identity and pleaded with concert staff to allow them entry. The staff refused.

@oing12044:
“So in the end, I went to the police station just in case and asked if they could help verify my identity… The officer was really kind and came with me. He felt bad since I came from out of town. He even asked if they could just verify my ID and let me in. He pleaded with them so much…”

Other fans faced the same issue, many of whom were students accompanied by parents. Some families flew in specifically for the event. Staff stayed firm despite police intervention and fans pleaded for entry gifts, which were also denied.

@oing12044:
“But still, they absolutely refused. There were a few other people like me too, and they were all students who had come with their parents. All the students were crying… Their parents spent hours trying to ask the staff. Some even flew in for this. I get that they have rules, but still… couldn’t they have shown a little flexibility?”

One fan came with her mother, who brought an ID and family register proving relation, but the daughter was still denied for lacking valid ID.

@oing12044:
“There was even one person who came with her mom — the ticket was bought under the mom’s account, and the mom brought her ID and their family register to prove the relationship. But because the daughter didn’t have a youth ID or passport, they still said she couldn’t enter… Like, seriously?”

The sudden strictness shocked fans, especially since past concerts with notorious scalper problems didn’t enforce such rules.

@oing12044:
“At all the previous concerts that were crawling with scalpers, they didn’t even check and let people in within a second. But now, at a fancon of all places, they suddenly enforce it like this? It was pretty shocking. I’m never making this kind of mistake again. I felt so bad for the police officers.”

Online reactions are furious, slamming the concert’s handling of the situation.

  • “What’s with the ridiculous overreaction, seriously?”
  • “If the police verified the fan’s identity, why wasn’t that enough?”
  • “They’re handling this like sh*t.”
  • “This isn’t even stopping scalpers — so what’s the point?”

DAY6 and event organizers have yet to comment on the incident as backlash grows. Fans are monitoring the fallout closely after this surprising fancon fiasco.
