ENHYPEN faces backlash over overpriced water gun merch copied from TaoBao
ENHYPEN is under fire after fans discovered their latest official merchandise—a water gun priced at 30,450 KRW (~$22.50 USD)—is nearly identical to one sold for just 3,000 KRW (~$2.21 USD) on Chinese platform TaoBao.
The water gun, part of the [WALK THE LINE IN JP -SUMMER EDITION] merch line, sparked frustration for its blatant design copy and high price. Fans called out the group and their merch makers for lack of effort and sincerity.
Fans voiced their anger on social media:
"Please put in more effort and change the design before selling it. It really sucks to see them taking something that costs a few bucks on TaoBao and putting on a logo on it and selling it for over 30,000 KRW ($~22.50 USD)."
Others slammed the merch for gouging fans:
"아니…….좀 성의있게 다른 디자인으로 바꿔서 팔든가
타오바오에서 3천원에 파는거 그대로 가져와서 로고만 박고 3만원에 파는거 진짜별로다"

Netizens reacted with disbelief:
- “Really? Are they crazy?”
- “It would be cheaper to just buy it on TaoBao and slap a logo on it myself.”
- “This is really too much.”
- “Are they really taking people’s money for this?”
- “I have no words because the design is so similar…they must make a lot of profit, seeing that they are selling it ten times the original price.”
The controversy is gaining traction as fans monitor the situation closely, demanding more original and respectful merchandise designs from ENHYPEN’s team. No official response has been issued yet.
