ENHYPEN is facing serious controversy. BELIFT LAB, their agency, announced on June 30 that they will take legal action against ongoing stalking and malicious online behavior targeting the group.
The agency stated,
“Despite multiple official warnings requesting a halt to the invasion of our artists’ privacy, the situation has not improved. In fact, the severity of the actions has worsened. As a result, the psychological and physical harm inflicted on the artists has reached an extreme level. To protect ENHYPEN, we will respond strongly, including through legal means.”
A shocking incident was revealed: individuals illegally entered the artists’ residence and filmed them without consent. This is a serious act of stalking. BELIFT LAB filed a police report under charges of unlawful entry and violations of the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes. The suspects have been arrested and are under investigation.
The agency also addressed malicious online behavior, saying,
“We have collected substantial evidence of defamatory posts and comments that damage the honor and personal rights of our artists. This includes excessive insults, mockery, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and the spreading of baseless falsehoods. We have filed official complaints with investigative authorities against all perpetrators involved.”
BELIFT LAB emphasized a zero-tolerance policy, stating,
“Regardless of nationality, we will pursue legal responsibility without any leniency or settlement for all illegal actions that infringe on the rights of our artists.”
The agency thanked fans for their support, saying,
“We sincerely thank ENGENEs for your continued love and support. BELIFT LAB will continue to do everything in our power to protect ENHYPEN’s rights and well-being.”
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is preparing for their world tour, “WALK THE LINE IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-”, with concerts set for July 5–6 at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo and August 2–3 at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka.
