LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae revealed TWICE inspired her first K-Pop audition.
On July 31, Eunchae appeared on TWICE’s Sana YouTube show, Sana’s Fridge Interview. She shared candid stories from her trainee days and why she first tried out for a K-Pop company.
Eunchae said she was outgoing and popular in school but got shy after becoming a trainee. The turning point? Seeing TWICE.
Eunchae:
“Back then, after seeing TWICE, I really wanted to go to JYP.”
She auditioned for JYP Entertainment through her dance academy. Out of hundreds, only two people, including her, made the final round. But Eunchae failed the audition.
Eunchae:
“I thought my opponent was very pretty and tall and felt timid for some reason.”
She even changed her audition song last minute due to nerves.
After JYP, Eunchae auditioned for Pledis Entertainment and Source Music. She said the Source Music audition felt easier because of her JYP experience.
A casting manager who saw her at the JYP audition later moved to Source Music and found Eunchae’s dance academy. This led to her becoming a Source Music trainee.
Eunchae:
“I am so grateful to her even now.”
