AtHeart debuts with powerful mini-album Plot Twist and opens up in exclusive allkpop interview!
The new 7-member girl group AtHeart (Michi, Katelyn, Seohyeon, Aurora, Bome, Arin, Nahyun) launched their first project Plot Twist featuring five emotional tracks: “Plot Twist,” “Push Back,” “Dot Dot Dot…,” “Knew Me,” and “Good Girl.”
The group sat down with allkpop to share their debut journey, honest feelings, and future goals.
They describe their debut as a dream come true, with Arin saying:
Hello, this is Arin from AtHeart! It still feels like a dream that we’ve debuted. Every single day feels fun and new to me, and I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead!
The members showcased their diverse backgrounds and personalities: Michi came from Hawaii chasing her K-pop idol dream, Katelyn hails from the Philippines, and Bome revealed she’s the “most active one” despite a quiet vibe.
The group’s full schedule hasn’t dampened their excitement. Nahyun said:
First of all, I’m amazed and feeling truly grateful to those fans who support me. Whenever I see our fans, I feel overwhelmed. Also, since I’m experiencing things I had only ever watched on TV, it feels like I’m living in a dream.
About the album vibe, Katelyn shared:
When I first heard the tracks on the album, I was shocked and just fell in love with our songs. I especially liked how each song has a different vibe from the others.

The group finds strength from other artists. Arin named BLACKPINK’s Jennie as her inspiration:
For me, it’s BLACKPINK’s Jennie sunbaenim. I think Jennie sunbaenim has always known what she wanted and liked ever since she was young, and she worked tirelessly toward her dream, which made her who she is today. Those qualities have really inspired me and helped me grow into a better artist as well!
Michi summed up their identity perfectly:
Just like me, AtHeart is a group made up of many different colors that come together harmoniously to form a pure-hearted rainbow!
They want to connect deeply with fans worldwide and bring fresh energy to K-pop.
