Famed K-Pop Songwriter Issues Controversial Remarks About ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie

Legendary K-Pop Song Writer Makes "Rude" Comments Toward ALLDAY PROJECT's Annie

Kim Eana is facing backlash for hostile remarks toward rookie co-ed group ALL DAY PROJECT on her radio show.

On the July 16 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s Kim Eana’s Starry Night, members Annie, Tarzzan, Bailey, Youngseo, and Woochan appeared to promote their debut tracks “FAMOUS” and “WICKED.”

Kim Eana opened with a pointed question:

“It’s only been 24 days since your debut. How does it feel to be receiving so much attention already? Is it making you cocky? Also, isn’t it difficult being in a co-ed group?”

She then singled out Annie with a jab about her background:

You must’ve had the shortest trainee period.”

This was widely interpreted as a reference to Annie’s chaebol status as the daughter of Shinsegae Group chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung.

Later, Annie’s motto “This too shall pass” was met with another cold remark from Kim:

Are you saying you want this show to end quickly?

The comments left the guests visibly uncomfortable.

Netizens quickly criticized Kim Eana’s interview style as harsh and resembling a job interview rather than an entertainment talk show.

ALL DAY PROJECT officially debuted in June, with Annie already known in the industry as a “chaebol idol.” The controversy around Kim’s remarks is gaining traction as fans and viewers monitor the situation closely.
