TWICE’s Mina is caught in a fierce controversy after her Chinese fanbase sent protest trucks and funeral wreaths to JYP Entertainment’s building. The fans slammed the company’s treatment of Mina, demanding fairer screen time and solo activities.
Fans claim Mina got only three seconds of solo screen time in TWICE’s latest music video. They want more solo work, support for her acting career, and better styling. The protest also accuses JYP’s TWICE account managers of discrimination and favoritism toward other members.
The protest trucks carried messages like:
“미나를 더 이상 소외시키지 마
미나를 공평하게 대하라
We waited until two Seoul concerts were over and this is the limit of our patience and tolerance.”
— Minabar (China Mina Fanbase)
The funeral wreaths were even more direct, criticizing JYP as:
“A company that wastes an artist’s talent and time is a corrupt business.”
“JYPE, which fails to respect the artist’s efforts and recognize her abilities, will have to face the consequences.”
The wreaths said JYPE was “lowest ranked among the Big 4 companies” and called fans “not ATMs and idols not hostages.”
Many fans slammed the protest as disrespectful and over the line. Some felt sending funeral wreaths under Mina’s name was insensitive and possibly traumatic.
"are u stupid? even if u want changes for mina why would you send FUNERAL wreaths, you dont know if mina is sensitive to that or has trauma with that, you are not even a fan, you are an attacker, you really went too far this time…."
— @kookiehobi3"Shame on people who cheer those Chinese fanbases (not only Twice) for sending trucks over stupid things, you encourage infantilising adults and it is disrespectful. Acting like your faves can’t judge the situation and you have to speak for them is so embarrassing."
— @mellownaig"What if we sent flower wreaths to YOUR house, demanding you to stfu? How would you or your fam feel? Yes, that’s what Mina would feel. ‘Artists aren’t hostages’? Yes, they’re not YOUR hostages, either. Chinese fans are dumb af."
— @lynn2609"She worked hard for months to show us the best image in concert and we are all equally frustrated with how they are treating mina BUT SENDING FUNERAL WREATHS RIGHT AFTER CONCERT????? under her name???? This is TOO MUCH…."

The protest highlights ongoing tensions within the TWICE fandom over Mina’s visibility and support. The situation is still developing.
