Fans Organize Funeral Wreath Protest For Idol’s Removal Before Debut

Fans Plan Funeral Wreath Protest For Idol's Removal Before He Even Has Debuted

Fans of the newly formed boy group IDID, created by Starship Entertainment through the survival show Debut Plan, are rallying for action following serious allegations against member Park Junhwan. The group is slated to debut later this year, but recent claims from individuals alleging that Junhwan engaged in sexual assault and misogynistic behavior have prompted a controversy.

Last year, when Seunghan from the now-defunct group RIIZE was briefly reintegrated, fans expressed their discontent through visible protests, notably sending flower wreaths to SM Entertainment. This unusual form of protest, typically associated with funerals, has resurfaced as fans of IDID plan to utilize wreaths to advocate for Junhwan’s removal from the group.

Several former classmates of Junhwan have come forward with accusations, sharing purported messages from the idol’s social media. These allegations have fueled outrage among fans, leading many to support a coordinated effort to place wreaths outside of Starship Entertainment. The fan group emphasized that while the wreaths symbolize their demand for his withdrawal, they are not intended as ominous messages.

Starship Entertainment has yet to respond to the allegations surrounding Park Junhwan as of this writing, leaving fans and the public awaiting further clarity on the situation.
