Shen Xiaoai from SNH48 is back in the spotlight over last year’s cheating scandal involving her ex-girlfriend and fellow members.
In May 2024, Xiaoai, 28, revealed she had been in a relationship with 22-year-old Lu Xinyi. The drama exploded when Xiaoai exposed Lu for cheating on her with another group member, 21-year-old Wang Yuchen.
Xiaoai called out the two for having an emotional affair, which led to the end of her two-and-a-half-year relationship.

Now, a year later, Xiaoai remains in SNH48. She ranked 33rd in the latest General Election, landing her the center spot of the subunit Next Girls.
Lu Xinyi did not rank in the recent General Election after placing 46th previously. Notably, Lu switched partners in the 2024 “Best Partners” competition from Xiaoai to Wang Yuchen.
Wang Yuchen, who is actually a member of GNZ48, ranked 27th in the SNH48 election, outpacing both Xiaoai and Lu. Wang was also named MVP for May 2025 in her group.

There’s been no official word on Lu and Wang’s relationship status, but their ongoing activities together hint at them continuing their connection post-scandal.
