Former F.ABLE Member Jaehyun Passes Away at 23 After Leukemia Battle

Former F.ABLE member Jaehyun dies at 23 after battle with leukemia

Shim Jaehyun is making headlines after the shock announcement of his passing at just 23 years old. The former member of K-pop boy group F.ABLE died on June 29, according to friends and confirmed by fans online.

Jaehyun had been battling leukemia privately for some time. Many fans were unaware of his health struggles until after he had passed away. Details about his diagnosis and treatment remain undisclosed.

Born on April 7, 2002, Jaehyun debuted with F.ABLE in June 2020 under Haeirum Entertainment. As the group’s maknae and vocalist, he charmed fans with his gentle demeanor and vibrant energy during promotions. Despite being relatively unknown in the K-pop scene, his fans cherished the close-knit bonds within the group.

F.ABLE released several digital singles, including “Burn It Up” and “Run Run Run,” but they became inactive around mid-2023. Three of the five members later re-debuted in a new project called ENPHAZE, leading many to speculate that F.ABLE had disbanded without a formal announcement. Jaehyun had not participated in any activities post-disbandment, and little information was available about his life thereafter.

Following the news, former F.ABLE member Hojun took to social media, sharing a heartfelt tribute:

"I regret losing contact. Thank you for the years we shared together."

Fans flooded social media with messages of condolence, mourning not just a young life lost but the quiet strength Jaehyun exhibited during his struggles. Fans continue to share memories and revisit his past performances in honor of his legacy.

At this time, there are no public details on funeral arrangements or a potential memorial. Messages of support and love for Jaehyun are spreading through fan communities, many of whom have followed his journey since his debut.

Though his time was short, Jaehyun leaves behind cherished memories, passion, and a gentle spirit that will not be forgotten.
