Fourth-Generation Female Idol Reveals Difficult Waterbomb Festival Experience That Led to Hair Transplant

Fourth-Gen Female Idol Shares Painful "Waterbomb Festival" Memory That Pushed Her To Get Hair Transplant

Lee Chaeyeon sparks buzz after revealing hair transplant surgery on JTBC’s Knowing Bros

Lee Chaeyeon opened up about her hair transplant during the June 14 episode of Knowing Bros. The fourth-generation idol shared the story behind her decision to get the procedure.

On the show, guests Kim Wan Sun, Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls), Chanelle Moon (FIFTY FIFTY), and Lee Chaeyeon appeared. Chaeyeon recalled a rough experience at her first Waterbomb Festival performance.

She explained how she sprayed hair powder to cover empty spots on her scalp, but the water on stage washed it away.

“So, I sprayed hair powder and went on stage,” Lee Chaeyeon admitted.

During a dance move, the empty spot became visible, sparking rumors online about her hair loss.

The incident left a strong impression.

“I kept thinking I had to perform at Waterbomb again, so I immediately got a hair transplant,” she said.

Chaeyeon revealed she had 3,571 grafts transplanted. Narsha reacted, saying anything over 3,000 is usually considered a lot.

She named Han Sang Bo as the doctor who performed the procedure, a well-known figure among the celebrity guests.

Chaeyeon’s candidness about the surgery stood out as she shared the reasons behind it without hesitation.
