Choo Young Woo reveals harsh struggle before K-Drama fame
Choo Young Woo opened up about his tough start in the entertainment industry on the June 11 preview of You Quiz On The Block. The rising K-Drama star confessed he faced constant rejection after joining the field four years ago.
He said he was turned down in every audition he tried. To survive, Choo worked part-time jobs as a supermarket cart attendant, security guard, and parking attendant.
"When I joined the industry four years ago, I was rejected in every audition that I had tried out."
Choo’s perseverance paid off. He debuted in 2021 with the web drama You Make Me Dance and landed roles in Police University, School 2021, Once Upon a Small Town, and Oasis. His recent projects like The Tale of Lady Ok, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, and Mercy For None on Netflix skyrocketed his fame.

Choo’s growth is clear: he first appeared on You Quiz On The Block six years ago as a student. Now he returns as a celebrated actor.
