G-Dragon is facing backlash after canceling the Bangkok leg of his 2025 “Übermensch” world tour. The initial cancellation announcement lacked details, sparking rampant speculation and heavy criticism toward his management, Galaxy Corporation.
Fans slammed Galaxy for poor concert prep and tour management. Complaints flooded in about late ticket sales, small venue bookings, unclear announcements, and constant last-minute changes. Many accused the agency — described as more tech company than entertainment firm — of mishandling the tour worse than YG Entertainment ever did.
Comments from fans included:
“Ugh, the current agency isn’t even an entertainment company. It’s an AI tech company or something, so they’re seriously terrible at handling this world tour.”
“Fans keep begging them to release the tour schedule in advance so they can actually plan, but they never listen and only announce it like two months ahead.”
“The CEO is too busy using G-Dragon’s name to get the company listed on the stock exchange. He just follows the tour around, handling things terribly—it’s infuriating.”
Others speculated the cancellation wasn’t about the heat, saying:
“If it was about the heat, they would’ve listed it as the reason in the first place.”
“I think they might have announced the concert dates before actually securing the venue… Bangkok has both Rajamangala Stadium and the National Stadium, but it seems like neither worked out?”
Galaxy Corporation finally addressed the situation on July 11, 2025 (KST), blaming an “unprecedented and record-breaking heatwave” and safety concerns at the outdoor Rajamangala National Stadium for the cancellation.
“This cancellation was due to the unprecedented and record-breaking heatwave, which has led to ongoing cases of heatstroke. Given that the Rajamangala National Stadium is an outdoor venue, the decision was made in light of these conditions. The health and safety of fans was our top priority in making this decision.”

The agency apologized and promised to reschedule soon, aiming for cooler weather and avoiding rainy season. Since ticket sales had not started, no refunds are needed.
The controversy has fans on edge, even sparking organized protests. The situation is ongoing as fans await new dates and venues.
