Hui is officially parting ways with Cube Entertainment after nine years.
On July 16, Cube Entertainment announced this surprising news via Pentagon’s official social media. They stated, “After thorough discussions, we have recently ended our exclusive contract with Hui.”
The statement also expressed ongoing support for the artist. Cube mentioned, “While Hui recovers from his injury, we will do our utmost to assist him in every possible way. We are committed to helping him heal and make a healthy return.”
Hui suffered a nasal bone fracture during a ball game on the JTBC variety show Mungchyeoya Chanda 4. Following this, Cube reported that medical professionals advised Hui to rest and focus on recovery, leading him to temporarily suspend all activities.
Cube expressed gratitude for Hui’s dedication throughout the years:
“Since debuting as the leader and main vocalist of Pentagon in 2016, Hui has consistently showcased his musical talent and passion. Whether as a producer or solo artist, he has never stopped challenging himself, building a unique musical identity.”
To close the announcement, Cube added:
“We sincerely thank Hui for his efforts and dedication, and we ask for your continued support and warm encouragement as he embarks on a new journey.”
