Wonhee (ILLIT) gets scammed buying Labubu doll

ILLIT’s rookie Wonhee just revealed she was tricked into buying a fake Labubu doll. The popular Labubu figure, created by Kasing Lung’s artist collective The Monsters, is a hot commodity across Asia. Fans often pay huge resale prices for these limited editions.

Wonhee shared the scam experience during a fan interaction. She said the box looked completely authentic, and she even saw the doll in person before purchasing. But when she got the doll home and opened it, she realized it was a fake.

Fans flooded social media with sympathy for Wonhee’s unlucky purchase.

Wonhee:
“Unnie…
I got scammed…
Tell me this isn’t true.”

Wonhee:
“I’m so speechless…
I bought it after seeing it IRL…
The box seemed real…”

She also posted a selfie showing her mood after the scam.

Fans are hoping she’ll score a real Labubu next time.
