Yoon Kye Sang just dropped the real reason behind g.o.d’s disbandment — and it’s all about misunderstandings.
On July 17, the singer and actor appeared on Choi Hwa Jung’s YouTube channel. He opened up about married life, g.o.d’s breakup, and their eventual reunion.
When asked if g.o.d still holds concerts, Yoon said,
“It’s been ten years since we’ve been holding concerts.”

Then came the blow: Why did such a popular group break up? Yoon didn’t hold back.
“To put it simply, the five of us were so innocent. We were easily swayed by the influence of adults at that time. We disbanded because of misunderstandings.”

He gave credit to member Kim Tae Woo for pulling everyone back together.
“The biggest factor was Tae Woo’s will. We met and talked because of a program, and worked things out. Two years later, our album came out. Now that I’m older, I understand everything.”

The reunion wasn’t easy. Yoon revealed fans misunderstood his departure as solely to pursue acting, which led to heavy backlash.
“I received a lot of hate from fans, as there was a misunderstanding that I left the group to pursue acting. I was scared to stand on the stage because I thought many people would hate me.
