Iconic Girl Group Star Responds to Live Streaming Scandal

Legendary Girl Group Member Directly Addresses "Racy" Live Streaming Controversy

Shoo breaks silence on overseas gambling scandal and controversial livestream comeback

Former S.E.S. member Shoo finally addressed her gambling scandal and criticized return as a BJ in a new YouTube video on August 8.

Titled “The Controversial Incident, I’m Telling Everything Today. First Reveal,” Shoo confronted the issues head-on.

Shoo was convicted in 2019 for habitual overseas gambling, placing bets worth billions of won in Macau and other countries between 2016 and 2018. She received a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years and community service. Reports say she has repaid all debts.

In 2022, Shoo tried to make a comeback via livestream, but backlash hit immediately after she appeared wearing a revealing outfit with a deep neckline.

Shoo explained the outfit choice was a mistake.

“At the time, I needed money urgently, and I received an offer to stream. I wanted it to be a channel to communicate with fans, but I chose the wrong outfit for my first show.” — Shoo

She added that the cut-out fashion trend and studio lighting made the look more revealing than intended.

Shoo clarified the stream was not to receive monetary donations but part of a contract with a signing bonus to cover financial needs.

Shoo said she regrets her choices but was grateful for the chance to communicate with fans through livestreaming.

This marks Shoo’s most candid explanation yet. Fans and netizens are now debating whether this will pave the way for a real comeback.
