TWICE’s Jihyo is stirring talk after a recent video revealed by SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu about her past drinking habits.
The video, celebrating Jihyo’s 20th anniversary with JYP Entertainment, featured chaotic moments and stars like Nayeon, Jeongyeon, BamBam (GOT7), Sungjin (Day6), actresses Kim Se Jeong and Kim Na Young, plus Mingyu and Seungkwan from SEVENTEEN.
Mingyu jokingly called out Jihyo’s drinking stories, sparking online debates about the infamous “97 liners” friendship group. Fans questioned whether the close-knit circle of idols born in 1997 includes female idols like Jihyo and Mina (TWICE), Lisa (BLACKPINK), and Minnie (i-dle).
The widely recognized 1997 friendship squad features Jungkook (BTS), Mingyu, DK, The8 (SEVENTEEN), and Yugyeom and BamBam (GOT7). Notably absent are Cha Eunwoo (ASTRO) and Jaehyun (NCT).
In contrast, the 1998-born idols openly share their friendships, with many having long-term bonds.
Though no official confirmation exists, Mingyu’s comments hint that the 1997 group, including female idols like Jihyo, might be closer than fans thought.
