IU Visits Jeju Exhibition, Melts Hearts with Warmth
IU (아이유) brought her charm to the ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다)’ exhibition in Jeju Island, leaving fans in awe.
On June 16, she posted a series of heartwarming photos on Instagram, captioned, "Came to keep my promise to the Jeju Halmae artists and Gwangrye Ttol’s Aesooni." This showcases her connection to local artists and her role in the Netflix drama.
During the visit, IU engaged with colorful artworks depicting characters from the show, including her own roles, Oh Aesoon and Yang Geummyeong, alongside stars like Park Bo-gum (박보검) and Na Moon-hee (나문희).
IU interacted with elderly artist grandmothers, mimicked poses from the paintings, and took photos with genuine smiles. Fans showered her with love in the comments, saying things like, "Our warmhearted unnie, saranghaemsooda," and "Aesoon is real."
Her performance in ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ released in March, earned critical acclaim for its emotional depth. Looking ahead, IU is set to star in the MBC drama ’21st Century Queen Consort (21세기 대군부인 Working title)’ alongside Byeon Woo-seok (변우석), debuting next year.
