Ju Haknyeon is facing fallout after his departure from THE BOYZ over a scandal involving Japanese AV star Kirara Asuka.
One Hundred Label confirmed Ju Haknyeon left both the group and agency following reports he spent an evening with Kirara Asuka in Tokyo. He had been on hiatus since June 16, with the agency calling the situation “severity of the issue” in their contract termination statement.
Witnesses say Kirara Asuka and Ju Haknyeon were drinking and showed moments of physical closeness throughout the night.
This isn’t Kirara Asuka’s first connection to a male idol. A tabloid from eight years ago resurfaced, showing photos of her with Hey! Say! JUMP’s Inoo Kei during a romantic-looking getaway in Singapore. The pair were even spotted cozying up in a jacuzzi at Marina Bay Sands hotel.
Johnny & Associates, Inoo Kei’s agency, defended the idol, stating they first met at a friend’s dinner party about a year before the hotel incident and denied any romantic relationship. Kirara Asuka’s agency backed this statement. Kirara herself declined to comment when approached by reporters.
