BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making waves with her first full-length solo album, Ruby. The album just dropped on June 24 and has been named one of Billboard’s "50 Best Albums of 2025 So Far," and it’s the only K-pop album on the list.
Billboard praised Ruby as “a debut project radiating confidence, elegance, and fierce energy.” They highlighted Jennie’s bold lyrics and commanding presence.
“Rare, authentic, and multidimensional,” Billboard said, also noting the album reflects Jennie’s growth and individuality.
This isn’t the first recognition for Ruby. It was also named one of the best albums of 2025 by Rolling Stone and Complex.
The 15-track album is produced entirely by Jennie, featuring the standout title track “like JENNIE.”
