Jeongyeon of TWICE Set to Make Big Screen Debut in Military Comedy Film ‘The Recruit: The Movie’

Jeongyeon is officially stepping into the acting world.

Reports on the 22nd KST confirm she has been cast in ‘The Recruit: The Movie’. Jeongyeon will portray an army nurse officer, marking her first acting role nearly a decade after debuting with TWICE.

‘The Recruit: The Movie’ is a spin-off of the successful drama series ‘The Recruit’, which has gained a strong fan base since its premiere in 2022. The film will shift the focus from military unit life to a military hospital, offering a comedic yet realistic portrayal.

Filming is set to start later this year, with Jeongyeon adjusting her schedule to prepare.

Jeongyeon made her debut in 2015 with TWICE, known for hits like “CHEER UP,” “FANCY,” “TT,” and “Dance The Night Away.” The group just made a comeback on July 11 with their fourth album, ‘THIS IS FOR’, and they’re on their sixth world tour. TWICE is also set to headline Lollapalooza Chicago.
