BTS’s Jin is garnering international acclaim for his second mini album, "Echo."
British music outlet NME praised the album, stating, “If Jin weren’t a member of BTS, he might have made a name for himself as the lead vocalist in a band, layering emotional vocals over guitar riffs.” They noted that "Echo" solidifies Jin’s standing as a vocalist while allowing him to expand beyond the rock genre. The review described the album as a familiar yet fresh echo of his previous work, The Astronaut.
American publication Rolling Stone highlighted Jin’s unique style, saying, “He elevates his signature style further with this album, exuding dazzling charm.” They emphasized his confidence and poise as he continues to express his romantic sensibility.
USA Today remarked that with "Echo," Jin amplifies his emotional depth and stage presence, evident in his clear love for rock music throughout the album. Billboard characterized the work as “a collection of seven tracks showcasing Jin’s matured vocals and emotions,” praising its dynamic sound.
V Magazine shared similar sentiments, noting, “Jin poured his life experiences and emotional sincerity into Echo," reflecting his musical growth and artistic expression.
Jin is set to perform the title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 22 (KST). Recently, he also showcased his charming personality on the Netflix variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B.
