MONSTA X’s Hyungwon, Joohoney, and Kihyun are making headlines after their latest transform into grim reapers from the animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters.
On July 8, MONSTA X dropped a special cover of "Your Idol," a song originally performed by the fictional group Saja Boys in the film. Fans are buzzing over the trio’s creative choice.
For this cover, they sported traditional grim reaper outfits, featuring Black Hanbok and ‘Gat’ hats closely mimicking the film’s aesthetic.

The controversy began with the release of K-Pop Demon Hunters on June 20. The film quickly gained traction, becoming the most globally streamed movie in just two weeks. It hit number 1 in 26 countries, including South Korea and the U.S.
