Ju Haknyeon is facing a major scandal and has been expelled from THE BOYZ following allegations tied to a meeting with former adult video actress and influencer Asuka Kirara.
The controversy began June 16 when One Hundred Label announced Haknyeon’s hiatus for “personal reasons.” Shortly after, News1 reported the hiatus was linked to Haknyeon meeting Asuka Kirara at a bar. The agency then confirmed his removal from THE BOYZ after an internal investigation.
Hours later, TenAsia claimed insiders said Haknyeon had sex with Asuka Kirara. Haknyeon denied prostitution allegations but admitted attending a drinking gathering.
He also accused his agency of terminating his contract without agreement and claimed they demanded massive damages. Haknyeon stated his intent to take legal action.
One Hundred Label responded by clarifying the reason for contract termination and called Haknyeon’s statements “false claims.” Haknyeon shared proof he’s pursuing legal action against the reporter who spread prostitution rumors.
On June 21, Asuka Kirara denied engaging in prostitution.
Shūkan Bunshun released photos allegedly showing Haknyeon and Asuka Kirara together. Dispatch followed with a detailed report saying Haknyeon was with a group before visiting Kirara’s home, then returned to THE BOYZ dorm.
Dispatch claimed Haknyeon told his label he “did not pay” for unspecified reasons and bragged about sleeping with Kirara to members. He reportedly agreed to leave THE BOYZ but later tried to retract that.
Haknyeon’s latest statement revealed he sought company help after learning about the photos, only to receive a termination agreement with over ₩2.00 billion in claimed penalties. He said he feels targeted and reaffirmed plans for legal action over the prostitution claims.
The rest of THE BOYZ also spoke out emotionally following Haknyeon’s removal.
One Hundred Label and Haknyeon continue to battle amid this scandal, which is gaining traction online.
