SEVENTEEN’s Jun Hits the Red Carpet at Shanghai International Film Festival
SEVENTEEN’s Jun (문준휘) is making waves as he appeared at the prestigious Shanghai International Film Festival on June 14. The star joined his co-stars from the upcoming crime thriller The Shadow’s Edge, including icons Tony Leung Ka-Fai and Zhang Zifeng.
In a backstage interview, Jun expressed his excitement:
“Filming The Shadow’s Edge wasn’t just an amazing experience—it was a dream come true. I learned so much from Jackie Chan and Tony Leung, two of the greatest legends.”
This marks a significant achievement for Jun as the Shanghai International Film Festival is the only event in China accredited by the FIAPF, adding weight to his debut as an actor.
The Shadow’s Edge is set to premiere on August 16, showcasing Jun as Hu Feng, a member of the notorious Yangzi group. The film has generated buzz after being featured at the 78th Cannes Film Market.
The excitement ramped up when the first trailer dropped on June 10, launching Jun’s name into Weibo’s real-time search rankings. Fans were thrilled to see him in sharp suits and intense fight scenes with Jackie Chan.
Jun began his acting career in 2006 and already has a collection of accolades, including the Popularity Award at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards for his role in Exclusive Fairytale. He continues to expand his career with roles in various genres, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to his craft.
