Jungkook Rejoins Social Media After Deleting 50M-Follower Account, Amasses 1.2M Followers in One Day

Jungkook returns to SNS after deleting 50m-follower account, gains 1.2m followers in a day

Jungkook is facing fan frenzy. The BTS member just made a surprise return to Instagram after nearly two years.

On July 15, he launched a new account, @mnijungkook. The account quickly gained traction, surpassing 1.2 million followers by 4:30 p.m. KST the same day.

During a live stream with fellow BTS members on Weverse, he confirmed the account’s authenticity, playfully stating,

“My name is Jungkook.”

Fans are ecstatic. His return follows a shocking decision back in February 2023 when he deleted his previous account, which had over 50 million followers. At that time, Jungkook said,

“I deleted Instagram because I stopped using it. I probably won’t be back.”

As the situation develops, anticipation is high for BTS’s group comeback slated for spring 2026.
