Lee Se Hee faces backlash over bizarre behavior on MBC’s The Manager
Actress Lee Se Hee is under fire after her appearances on MBC’s The Manager sparked controversy.
Viewers were shocked by her unusual personality on the show. A recent online post titled “Lee Sehee’s unbelievable persona? Why the production team is being criticized” pointed to her quirky and unfiltered behavior. Even her manager called her personality “unusual.”
Her first episode in July earned a 3.2% viewership rating, topping its time slot. But her August return raised suspicions that the show was staged due to her odd actions.
On the program, Lee Se Hee calmly let water overflow while filling an ice tray, read a book printed upside down, walked her dog Kangi, picked up a broken umbrella, splashed cold water on her knit sweater, and laid flat in the grass.
She also shocked panelists by pulling bulky blankets from a tiny double-pane window gap—usually meant for insulation, not storage. Later, she wore clothes right out of the washing machine without waiting for them to dry.
Viewers slammed the scenes:
“This is so staged,”
“Not even normal people do that,”
“A top actress walking around with a broken umbrella?”
“Wearing knitwear in wet grass is too much.”
Lee Se Hee’s agency has not responded to the backlash. The controversy is still gaining traction online.
