The controversy began when some fans questioned the plot twist. The series follows Rumi, Mira, and Joy—members of a K-pop girl group who moonlight as demon hunters. They perform to packed venues by day but face a shocking revelation at night: a boy group taking the world by storm are actually demons in disguise! Netflix went all in, changing its official X profile header to feature characters from K-pop: Demon Hunters. The show quickly climbed to the top in 22 countries, including the US, UK, and South Korea.
