Bubble is facing backlash after announcing a price hike for its fan messaging subscriptions starting July 7, 2025.
The app revealed new rates that caught fans off guard, showing minimal discounts for those buying multi-member passes. Fans slammed the increase online, calling the services “already expensive” and “getting so expensive.”
Many voiced frustration over the lack of savings on multiple subscriptions, with comments like:
“It’s already expensive now, though.”
“There’s basically no discount for more than one-member passes…”
“They already make so much money though.”
Bubble will also open a web store in July. Fans subscribing through it can keep their current prices, send five replies, and maintain subscription dates.
Still, netizens say switching platforms adds hassle.
“My head already hurts from thinking about having to move platforms.” – Twitter user @ildang_back
“This is like using YouTube Premium…” – Twitter user @ggomzzz
“They really have a way of making everything such a hassle for us…” – Twitter user @0nyourminec
The controversy continues to gain traction as fans weigh the price increase against the inconvenience of the new web store option.
