Kim Eana faces backlash for rude remarks toward ALL DAY PROJECT on radio
Lyricist Kim Eana is under fire after her July 16 interview with rookie co-ed group ALL DAY PROJECT on MBC FM4U’s Starry Night sparked heated criticism online.
Netizens slammed her tone as “hostile” and “condescending” throughout the broadcast. The controversy started when Kim Eana speculated that member Annie had the shortest trainee period, widely seen as a jab at her chaebol background. Annie is the daughter of Shinsegae Group chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung and has been labeled a “chaebol idol” since debut.
Kim Eana also took a jab at member Tarzzan, who introduced himself as the group’s “troublemaker,” joking that he hasn’t caused any real trouble yet.
Online backlash exploded, with many criticizing Kim Eana’s attitude toward co-ed groups and rookie idols in general.
“I listened to the show, and she really just went around saying anything and everything without sincerity. If she doesn’t know about the group, she should stick to asking questions.”
“Can’t believe she’s still hosting the show after that.”
“I really hate her. I think she truly doesn’t know how stuck up she is.”
“Just by reading the article, she sounds so rude.”
“She’s literally an old bat who has taken on the mindsets that misogynistic men have. She wants to pretend she’s well-educated and a good person, but she can’t hide how cheap she is.”
The public consensus leans critical, demanding more respectful treatment of rookies on broadcasts. As the backlash grows, all eyes are on Kim Eana and MBC for any response or clarification.
