Kian84 (기안84) sparked laughter during an episode of MBC’s travel variety show ‘Adventure By Accident 4’. The scene? A chilly evening in Nepal’s ancient Cha-ma-go-do trade route.
Despite the bone-chilling temperature, Kian84 insisted on drinking an iced beverage—complete with ice cubes. Lee Si-eon (이시언) couldn’t contain his shock, shouting, “Take the ice out, you lunatic!” The cast erupted with laughter, capturing the moment with the Korean slang term ‘얼죽아’.
What does ‘얼죽아’ mean?
The term, short for ‘얼어 죽어도 아이스’, translates to ‘Iced drinks, even if I freeze to death’. It describes people, mainly in their 20s and 30s, who choose iced beverages regardless of the weather. The caption during the scene read, “Even with hypothermia, 얼죽아,” showcasing Kian84’s dedication to the cold drink.
