Choi Yeo Jin slams outrageous rumors about husband, ex-wife ties
Actress Choi Yeo Jin is putting nasty gossip about her husband, sports businessman Kim Jae Wook (not the actor) to rest.
The Korean-Canadian star, who married Kim on June 1, 2025, faced wild rumors that Kim leads a religious cult. Choi called it “the most absurd one.”
“The most absurd one was a rumor about a religious cult,” Choi said, explaining the confusion began because Kim’s company is named Club Eden. In Korea, many churches use “Eden” referencing the biblical Garden of Eden.
Kim and Choi even got a call from an actual Eden religious group asking them to quash the rumors. At first, they didn’t take it seriously.
Another rumor claimed Kim owns half of the land in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Choi joked she wished that were true for the money it’d bring.
Choi also addressed allegations about her relationship with Kim’s ex-wife, fueled by their on-screen interactions.
“There are scenes necessary for the story flow,” she said about appearing with the ex-wife on a reality show. Despite using the honorific “unnie” (older sister), they are not close friends.
