Korean Restaurant Criticized for Requiring Female Employees to Perform Provocative Dances

Korean Restaurant Slammed For Making Female Staff Perform Sexy Dances

A Seoul Korean BBQ restaurant is facing serious backlash after asking female staff to perform the viral “Terminal Dance” to attract customers.

The sensual dance, known for hip sways and flirty gestures, was done in front of diners and recorded for social media. Videos included captions like, _“Comment if you want their Instagrams.”_

Staff were reportedly promised a 500,000 KRW (about $370 USD) bonus if the video hit 1 million views.

Though employees danced in regular uniforms, many criticized the act as blurring the line between service and sexual entertainment. One critic said it felt _“no different from a brothel.”_

Videos have been reported to authorities for potentially violating food sanitation laws. Government officials have launched an investigation and requested the footage be removed.
