Namgoong Min is facing backlash over the low ratings of his new SBS drama, Our Movie.
The show hit a disappointing 3.0% viewership, dropping 1.2 percentage points from the previous 4.2%. For comparison, The Haunted Palace’s finale scored 11%. Our Movie didn’t even reach a third of that number.
An online report went viral with a harsh headline:
“Viewership Slashed By Two-Thirds… Namgoong Min Faces Last Place on Public TV Humiliation, Pleads ‘Please Don’t Give Up On Us’”
Namgoong Min responded directly on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the article alongside a message to fans.
Namgoong Min:
"Despite the eye-catching headline, I can tell you actually watched our show, thank you so much.
Even though our ratings are currently low, I still have full confidence. So please, just keep watching with interest until episode 5. And if there’s still no clear turnaround by then, feel free to scold me even harsher than calling it a ‘humiliating last place.’ It will be my responsibility."
The actor’s bold stance sparked renewed interest. Viewers are now watching to see if Our Movie can bounce back in the coming episodes.
