Man in 30s arrested for murdering ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend in Gyeonggi Province
A man in his thirties has been taken into custody and indicted for the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.
The Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office revealed on June 2 that Mr. A faces charges of murder, special resident trespassing, and violation of the Stalking Crime Punishment Act.
Mr. A allegedly swung a weapon and killed ex-girlfriend B and her boyfriend at an officetel in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province on May 4.
He also reportedly stalked B by sending over 200 text messages from four different phones about a month after their breakup.
Mr. A surrendered the day of the incident but later denied the murder during the investigation. He admitted to entering B’s home but rejected accusations of killing her.
The prosecution stated:

“We held a crime victim support-related meeting with the Crime Victim Support Center and Psychological Treatment Counseling Center officials to discuss measures for the bereaved families. We will do our best to ensure that a strict sentence appropriate for the crime will be imposed.”
