BLACKPINK faces controversy as a man in his 30s is arrested for forging and selling concert tickets.

On June 18, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul confirmed the urgent apprehension of a suspect, identified as Mr. A, on charges of fraud.

The trouble started when Mr. A allegedly attempted to sell counterfeit BLACKPINK concert tickets at a café in Dongjak-gu on the night of June 17 at around 9:20 PM. Police received a tip-off and quickly conducted a stakeout, leading to his immediate arrest.

Authorities found obvious tampering signs on the counterfeit tickets, including spelling errors. Verification with the official ticketing platform confirmed their forgery.

Investigations revealed the extent of his crime. Mr. A reportedly sold around 500 fake tickets through a secondhand trading platform, raking in approximately 80 million KRW (about 58,000 USD).

Police are continuing to dig deeper into the case, looking into other potential offenses by the suspect.

“We are treating this incident very seriously,” a police spokesperson commented.
