Doyoung of NCT is facing backlash after an emotional Bubble message went viral for being “strange.”
The controversy began when Doyoung shared his feelings about his recent solo concert on Bubble. He criticized himself for crying, calling his tears “like a total loser.”
Doyoung: “Aghhh ㅠㅠ”
Doyoung: “At this point in my career and at my age, I really cried like a total loser ㅠ Good grief ㅠㅠ”
Soon after, a Pann post accused him of being performative, saying his “word choices” were forced and unnatural. The post’s author claimed this pushed them away from Doyoung and even unsubscribed from his Bubble service to follow NCT’s younger unit, WISH instead.

“His word choices always come off a bit strange, like he’s trying to read people or pretend he knows everything.
He feels like a knock-off Na Jaemin.
I didn’t cancel his Bubble because I didn’t want to waste it, but now I’ve switched over to Wish.”
The post quickly gained traction, sparking heavy backlash from fans and non-fans alike. Many defended Doyoung, calling the criticism unwarranted and twisted his words.
