Jaehee of NCT WISH is getting major buzz for his vocal skills after his recent TV appearances.
He showed off a wide vocal range on MBC’s King of Masked Singer under the name Blue Sky and Galaxy. Jaehee performed DAY6’s “Welcome to the Show”, Kim Kyung Ho’s “Forbidden Love”, and Naul’s “Memory of the Wind” live. Fans and judges were blown away.
After the reveal, Jaehee got a huge round of applause. Judges called him:
“A vocalist with immense potential,”
“A rising talent with infinite possibilities,”
and
“One to watch in the future.”
Jaehee also appeared on KBS Kpop’s YouTube show Leemujin Service. There, he performed a re-arranged version of NCT WISH’s title track “COLOR” and emotional covers of Ban Gwang Ok’s “Today’s Diary” and Yuuri’s “Dried Flower.” His duet with host Lee Mu Jin on EXO’s “Don’t Go” got fans talking for his warm delivery.
NCT WISH just dropped their third mini-album COLOR on September 1. It smashed records with over 1.395 million sales in the first week — their second straight million-seller. The album hit No.1 on Korean charts and QQ Music’s Rising Chart in China. A chat event tied to the release got more than 530,000 comments, showing their explosive popularity.
