Negotiations Between NJZ (NewJeans) And ADOR Collapse

NJZ (NewJeans) And ADOR's Negotiations Fall Through

NewJeans’ NJZ faces ongoing legal battle with ADOR after failed mediation

NewJeans’ NJZ is in the spotlight again as mediation with ADOR hit a dead end on August 14, KST. The Seoul Central District Court saw members Danielle and Minji attend a mediation hearing over ADOR’s lawsuit.

Before entering court the idols briefly apologized:

We’re sorry.

The 1 hour 20 minute mediation failed to reach any agreement. Both parties remain at an impasse.

A second mediation is set for September 11, KST. If it fails, the court will make a final ruling on October 30.

The dispute started earlier this year amid tensions between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and majority owner HYBE. HYBE, holding an 80% stake in ADOR, accused Min of trying to take control. Min claimed HYBE interfered with ADOR’s creative independence and NJZ’s management.

This legal fight will decide if ADOR’s exclusive contracts with NJZ are valid, ultimately determining the group’s future.

More updates to come.
