Park Yoochun is back in the spotlight with a new documentary airing in Japan.
The controversy started years ago when Park Yoochun was blacklisted in Korea after a false press conference scandal. Since then, he’s been mostly out of Korea’s entertainment scene.
Now, Japanese broadcaster Tokyo MX announced a special titled ‘An Endless Story’. It will air on September 20th at 7:30 PM JST.
The documentary focuses on Park’s recent live concert in Japan and the tough road he’s faced since his fall from grace.
Tokyo MX said:
“Though the concert ended in great success and felt like a dream, the path leading to that stage was far from smooth.”
“Still, Park Yoochun did not give up. Holding tightly to his promises to fans, he overcame challenges one by one.”
“Even when he was hurt, his passion for music and sincere affection for his fans were clearly visible, making this performance all the more special.”
“This documentary reveals the untold stories behind the shining performances, with Park’s heartfelt wish to ‘run forward together with fans’ striking a deep emotional chord.”
Park has kept active in Japan with fan meetings and concerts despite his Korean blacklist.
Recently, he posted on Instagram:
“Nagoya, I promise to come back again. Thank you so much,”
“I’ll keep working hard for my family and for all of you. Thank you, my dear Lilibet (fandom name).”
Fans shared videos from his latest concert, with one saying:
“I simply can’t get over his dancing.”
Park Yoochun’s comeback in Japan shows he’s not done yet, even if Korea still treats him as a pariah.
