NJZ (NewJeans) Receives Strong Criticism From Netizens Over Alleged Arrogance

NJZ (NewJeans) Faces Heated Backlash From Netizens For Supposed Arrogance

NewJeans (NJZ) is facing backlash after their latest court rebuttal in the ongoing lawsuit with ADOR.

On June 5, the 41st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court held the second hearing to confirm the validity of ADOR’s exclusive contracts with NJZ members. The idols did not attend, but tensions ran high as legal teams sparred.

NJZ’s legal counsel declared:

“We have crossed the bridge of no return,”

rejecting any chance of settlement and claiming the trust between the group and company has collapsed.

ADOR pushed back, stating they continued managing NJZ’s activities despite leadership changes. NJZ’s lawyers fired back:

“Anyone could have done that. That’s not why we signed an exclusive contract.”

This line hit a nerve online, with netizens blasting it as arrogant and out of touch.

Comments from fans on community boards include:

“I’ve been to a lot of fan signings for less popular idols… If they had signed with a large or mid-sized company, they probably would’ve gotten a lot more attention.”

“Honestly, the positions the NewJeans members are in could’ve been filled by Anyone, as they said.”

“This really crossed a line. Maybe they need to experience working at some other small, struggling agency to understand.”

Fans criticized NJZ for seeming like they believe they are “superstars with extraordinary talent.”

The lawsuit and public backlash continue as NJZ stands firm against ADOR’s contract claims. The court battle is far from over.
